Uses include: Parking lots, garages, roads, highways, traffic lanes, arts and crafts, airports, fire lanes, loading zones, manufacturing plants and warehouses. Dry time at 77ºF (25ºC); 50% relative humidity.15 minutes to touch, 50 minutes for Traffic. Times listed may vary depending on temperature, humidity and air circulation. Bead Types: (Type 3 High Index Beads are our most reflective)
High Index Standard –Type 3 are our brightest reflective beads manufactured using virgin glass and are considered Airport Grade due to their size, reflectiveness and clarity. These beads meet Federal specification TT-B-1325D. High Index beads offer superior performance and durability due to their extremely smooth surfaces, greater than >98 % roundness and less than 1% air inclusions which results in a very high refractive index of >1.93.
Size: 180-600 microns, sugar like consistency
High Index Micro beads –Type 3 micro-beads (under <100 microns) are our brightest smallest reflective micro-beads, manufactured using virgin glass. (Very fine texture like powdered sugar) These tiny High Index beads offer superior performance and durability due to their extremely smooth surfaces, greater than >98 % roundness and less than 1% air inclusions which results in a very high refractive index of >1.93.
Size: <100 microns, powder consistency. Airport Grade Meets Federal Specification TT-B-1325D Type 3

Reflective glass beads should be spread directly on to wet paint ether by hand or with a line-striping dispenser. If you are applying the glass beads by hand, simply sprinkle the beads over the fresh paint. You will need to make sure beads are applied while the paint is still wet otherwise, they may not adhere properly. Reflective glass beads can be used with glues, adhesives, oil or water based paints. Cole Safety estimates that you will need approximately 5 to 6 pounds of our reflective glass beads, for every 1 gallon of paint you use.
